Position Summary

The Landscape Maintenance Foreman is a hands-on leader who directs field crews on residential and commercial landscape maintenance and snow operations. This role is responsible for quality, safety, training, and efficient job-site execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and mentor a crew of 2 to 5 team members on landscape maintenance and snow operations.
• Assign daily tasks, set clear expectations, and ensure work is completed efficiently and to company standards.
• Train crew members on landscaping techniques, equipment use, and safe work practices.
• Perform and oversee planting, mulching, pruning, grading, and installation work.
• Read and execute job plans, layouts, and scopes of work independently.
• Operate and oversee equipment including skid steers, mowers, plows, and spreaders.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections; manage materials, tools, and orderly job sites.
• Lead snow removal operations, including plowing, salting, shoveling, and crew response during winter events.
• Enforce company safety policies and OSHA standards; conduct safety talks and ensure required PPE is used.
• Communicate job progress and challenges to the Production Manager; track production, labor hours, and performance.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of landscaping, construction, or outdoor labor experience.
• Experience operating landscaping equipment, including skid steers, mowers, and plows.
• Ability to read plans and execute work independently.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; CDL is a plus.
• Snow removal and crew-lead or foreman experience are strongly preferred.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 pounds or more and perform hands-on outdoor work year-round.
• Ability to work in varied weather conditions. Steel- or composite-toe boots, long pants, and appropriate PPE are required.
