Position: Logistics & Operational Analyst

Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Hours: M - F 8 - 5pm

Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 / Annually DOE

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly organized and analytical Logistics & Operations Analyst to support daily logistics activities, coordinate shipments, and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while using data and problem-solving skills to optimize logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and monitor shipments, inventory, and warehouse operations.
• Independently manage and oversee end-to-end imports, customs, drayage, rail, and trucking activities.
• Evaluate transportation methods, carrier performance, routing, warehouse locations, and consolidation opportunities to optimize cost and service
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and system transactions.
• Resolve logistics issues and proactively communicate updates.
• Track shipments and resolve exceptions, including delays, reroutes, returns, documentation issues, and customs-related challenges, to minimize disruption.
• Use Excel and other systems to track data, prepare reports, and improve processes.

Qualifications & Experience:

• 2+ years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations.
• Familiarity with imports, trucking, warehouses, or inventory management.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills. (Required).
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
• Exceed customer service expectation and experience.
• A proactive problem solver who takes ownership of their work.

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, STEM, or a related field preferred. Candidates from other educational backgrounds with strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience with reporting tools, or process automation is a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
